We are pleased to announce that from Monday 22 June, we will be accepting the submission of packets for hallmarking at our Greville Street office.
However, we are adjusting our services to offer a priority service option and match the output of a significantly reduced team.
The Goldsmiths’ Company is delighted to announce that Richard Fox, Managing Director of Fox Silver, has taken office as Prime Warden, in succession to Dr Timothy Schroder. With a background in silversmithing, design and business leadership, Richard has successfully created beautiful silverware for the likes of Formula One and Rolls Royce for almost four decades. His primary focus will be championing the trade of silversmiths, jewellers and allied industries during his year in office.
A reminder that we are closed on bank holidays so will not be open on Monday 25 May for spring bank holiday. But we will resume our reduced counter opening hours at Goldsmiths' Hall of 10am - 1pm from Tuesday 26th May.
We wish you a happy and sunny Bank Holiday weekend!
We are pleased to announce that from today, Monday 18 May, we will be accepting the submission of packets (both at the counter and via the post) for Hallmarking at the Hall, and Heathrow, as part of the partial reopening of both sites.
We know that lack of access to hallmarking has been a significant concern for many of our valued customers. After careful assessment of the advice from Government, including the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), I am pleased to let you that we will be partially reopening the Assay Office at Goldsmiths’ Hall from Wednesday 13 May for packet collection only.
